AEROSMITH + EUPHORIA AUDIO CONCERT

The all-time great American rock band is back again on the scene of hard rockin' storming countries by its Global Warming World Tour that just started late of May last year. The band was said to complete the total sets of 67 concert performances. Now on its 3rd leg, Aerosmith will be and has been performing to New Zealand and the Philippines for the first time.

This week was Singapore's turn to host "The Bad Boys from Boston" highlighting a 2-night performance of Singapore Social 2013. I really don't have plans in watching the show for I swear to the fireworks of New Year's Eve that I will religiously cut expenditures from gadgets, concerts, movies and travels even having a girlfriend (the most expensive) this year in exchange for a material dream due to be real on the year-end.

The tight goal I set to myself has been squandered the time a remark from my housemate is so irresistible to consider. She said, "we should not let this opportunity come to pass because they were already old and may not be able to see them electrify the way they were in their prime and to date that they're still capable in the years to come." What can I say? This one's definitely an exemption. You can find money anytime but not in the case of indulging an experience made for the right time.

Somehow, I felt good about it more than worry for we get to pay the regular S$180 general admission for only S$151 because we completed 4 heads to avail the promo. I got served!

CHINESE & JAPANESE GARDENS

The other day, I totally lost track of time since enjoying the run of my unemployment period from 16th of March. First week of this month, we're already eyeing to contest watching the second installation of the film GI Joe on its premiere.

Not long and the time has come, I booked movie tickets for two online in the morning, prep ourselves up in the afternoon and directly hit the cinema. My brother and I claimed the tickets shortly, bought some Nachos and spotted a friendly face to take us photos with the life-size poster of the film. Delighted to enter the movie house with excitement, we exchanged smiles to the lady guards while handing over our tickets. The guards were puzzled and not so sure of what to say, so they checked their list twice, thrice and to the nth times only to find out that our tickets are booked for tomorrow and the movie as well will debut on the same date.

Pfffft! What now? Of course, we deal with it lightly and laugh it out until we start to think of the nachos and the sodas. Ting!!! So, here's the thing, why not go to one of the parks that I've never been and my brother never been to before as an alternative? - The Chinese and Japanese Gardens.

Pouring the best out of my iPhone camera, here's to my garden shots!

BATAM OVER THE WEEKEND

For almost 3 years in Singapore, this was my first attempt to visit Batam despite the bombardment of nothing-much-can-be-seen feedbacks and the proximity of the place from reaching (45-50 min. ferry travel). That's because my little brother needed much more time to stay in Singapore and this was one of the starters portrayed at the back of my mind for a menu of closer countries to exit from Singapore.

This recent week, the plan took place Saturday at 2pm departing at Harbourfront Centre Terminal and arriving in Batam Centre Terminal at 2pm (Indonesian time), 1 hour late from Singapore timings. We also booked in advance our return tickets online for the day after to prevent the hassles of fully-occupied seatings.  And to the true purpose of this trip, we bring up the hopes of another 30-day social visit stamp in the disembarkation card on our way back to Singapore which we fortunately achieved in the process. Nowadays, the safest duration of an exit is not less than 5 days below than that you will not be given another full 30-day stay. For ferry bookings, visit: Batam Fast.

BARELANG BRIDGE. The name is composed as an abbreviation of 3 places namely Batam, Rempang and Galang. The cable stayed bridge stands about 40m high above water level, stretches at a length of 642m. Most of the tourist advocates in the web and in the place said that you had not totally hooked with Batam if you never get to see this bridge. So, even if it means paying a cab or taxi for 400,000 Rupiah (53SGD) from our distant hotel in Nagoya (Standard Hotel), we didn't mind the price just to close the issues of regrets in the future. Since I'm doubtful how far Barelang bridge is, I did not go further with my haggling and just made only a 50,000 IDR cut-off. Anyway, the 400,000 IDR covers the trip fare from our hotel to Barelang bridge to Waterfront City to Batam Centre Terminal. Just a tidbit guys, all taxis here don't have meters, so you better agree with the fare first before making a ride. Haggling is a major budget saver of all and again my forte should play the part-the ACTING! The going-to-see-another-taxi is very effective to bait drivers from giving up their fare rates down. The normal fare here could cost you around 30,000 Rupiah for a 1 to 3 km distance. They also have other means of public transpo here like ojeks (motorcycle cabs) and mini-bus fleets but these are hardly elusive to avail in this place that's why we opted for a taxi.

LET'S DO THE HARLEM SHAKE! THE RAW VERSION!

Gangnam no more! Bid farewell to the greatest monster of 2012 and welcome the new dance craze by joining the wagon of rocking your epileptic moves through the air waves. Technically, most of the pioneering harlem shake videos are branding the dance craze nowadays in a wrong way and then blown in numbers the misinformation into viral state including our video (damn!). The Harlem community in the US finds it irritating and ridiculous to see people in the videos banging their bodies into everywhere like that of those who were electrocuted and forgot to do research what harlem shake dance truly is. My point, they maybe right but in the name of fun I think technicality sUcKS and could not bring as much fun as what this crazy idea is all about---RIDICULOUSNESS!

PAIRING AN IPHONE TO A SMART TV WHEN USING YOUTUBE

Little did I know, that the video we want to come out as a tutorial but actually made for the brag of having the newborn iPhone5 in its premiere release couple of months ago (September 2012) has caught someone's attention in Youtube. The real agenda we really want to imply with that video is just to encourage our friends on the other sides of the planet to switch their smartphone loyalty to the iPhone realm and not really about the tutorial. Just not to sound significantly commanding, we send our message in an implicit way because I would like to think what's better way to relate with your fellows is to have a common ground. And that is as much as possible acquiring the same gadget and same choice of apps to better enjoy the interaction like FaceTime for example albeit there are Skype, Viber and WeChat; FT is way smoother in terms of buffers. (my opinion!)

Anyway, what's done is done. So, I decided to make an elaborate blog about pairing due to the meanest reason shown below that compels me to do so. And since we single-handedly manipulated the pairing of the iPhone to Smart TV in a quick fashionable manner, we would like to think we are steps ahead from the least geekies. (what a claim!) Well, I want to begin loving harsh critics from this day on because it shuts down your ego (if and only if the critics' point has a point itself), secondly, for the very essentials that it improves you and lastly, it fares you near the ranks of celebrities who earn fans and haters that even taking a bath multiple times could not break even. lol.

Been prompted with an email notification of a comment  from my youtube post and got a disappointed viewer who expressed his/her disgust on the 'tutorial'. Apologies from me to you...Yes, I feel you. I, myself could attest the feeling of loathe to videos I searched so hard, spent time and end-up with a senseless content which did not deliver any help at all. So, makin' up to you, I'll make ample efforts this time.

YEAR END EXCURSIONS

Year end falls, I'm coming home mainly for a friend's big day - Shaun's wedding. Finally! After agonizing his fair shares of failed relationships for years, God at last spared him with his diamond. Life is sweetest they say in its perfect time! I saw the highs heard the lows and known told stories about the matters of his heart. Bitter and Sweet, Hopeless and Romantic. That's the glory of love, you'll never get tired loving anew. You could be surprise how these two people bounded by distance has decided tying the knot in agreeably short period of time since their acquaintance and first meeting in person. May 2012, Facebook, Proposal and Consent to parents are via phone call all summed up to have come into a conclusion last Dec. 8! Doubts and second thoughts surely exist among others but me seeing them personally? I submit to believe with my whole gut-feel that theirs is genuine, sometimes falling in love would've earned through your journey in time with that person (this is for the attention, kindness and personality you get and liked in the person with the appearance department being set aside) but oftenly it doesn't take much time to fall in love because for me it's an instant feeling and when makin' it sure whether it's lust or love? won't even take you years either to draw the fine line. You could just felt it and the urgency follows. Nowadays falling in love can be least perfect because what is perfect (for me) is finding someone who would keep you falling even after you've fallen. I rest this case to all the lovers who continually work on their way to longevity in their  relationship. God bless your union!

On the other side of the story, Typhoon Pablo (Bopha) hit monstrously Mindanao leaving thousand deaths in Compostela Valley and vast properties are seriously devastated 3 days ago from my arrival in the country. There's a lot of heartfelt stories that are hard to contain since some known fellows were from the affected areas and staying away from the news is the only way I think of as a good remedy. Usually, if I had travels to places, a day or two is long enough to post pictures in facebook but this time I find it insensitive if I care less to share the good fun times I had in the road while most of the social sites especially in facebook are running campaigns to help the victims so badly. So, I did make a pass this time for the situation to calm down as a sign of my intangible sympathy. Most of the schools and provinces in Region XI cancelled their Christmas parties and annual bonuses to province's employees are cut for as much as 50% from last year. Sad but humanitarian.

Anyhow, here's where I spend the rest of my vacation days (9 days) this year end.

LAST STOP: DAHILAYAN ADVENTURE PARK

The last stop to my 6-day trip on the road for the year end---the cold and breezy Dahilayan Adventure Park. Situated in Bukidnon is a hour drive away from Cagayan de Oro City. We arrived at the place pretty late of a night and the chilling temperature is almost unbearable (shivering!), instead of putting our jackets on we warmed ourselves with shots of tequila from one glass to another till we drop and yes, we surely did. Since we already did the 1.3km zip line ride and horseback riding in Dakak the past days what's left in our to-do list for that night after is the White Water Rafting.

First day in the morning, we immediately booked slots for an 11am schedule in the Information Office but unfortunately we are required to complete a number of 6 people to launch a single raft but we're just 4 heads in count looking for another two. So, it turns out we saved our last for this unpleasant flaw to our almost perfect as-we-planned-itinerary. But at least, that's nothing much of a problem compared to the children in famine around the world! (see the connection?! haha)

DAKAK ONE-STOP ADVENTURE

Dakak Park and Beach Resort located at Barangay Taguilon is Dapitan's pride when speaking of fine beaches in the Southern part of Mindanao even in terms of Nation's finest. Jampacked with tour and adventure packages from recreational  activities up to the extremes rolled all in one location. It has been said that the place is an ideal destination for all visitors because it evades the typhoon belt making it as an all-season venue for a vacation. See dakak resort.

DAPITAN: SHRINE CITY OF THE PHILIPPINES

The city is oftenly stereotyped as the exile of Jose Rizal (Philippine National Hero) from the Spanish invaders and the historical events that are found in the pages of Sibika at Kultura books. Unfortunately, I was not a bookworm of history in my intermediate years so when I visited the place it was like a first-hand inputs of all the written and carved historical infos in stones, metals and hardwoods. One thing I was amazed of with this visit is that they manage to display all the roster of Jose Rizal's girlfriends including the legit wife in the person of Josephine Bracken. What a chick magnet!

CAMIGUIN A.K.A. THE ISLAND BORN OF FIRE

Okay, our geography lesson for today is about Camiguin. hehe. Camiguin is an island province of Northern Mindanao of the Philippines dipping along the waters of Bohol Sea. (Want to know more?) It is composed of 5 Barangays namely Mambajao, Catarman, Sagay, Mahinog and Guinsilban which serves as a nest to 7 volcanoes including the famous and active volcano-Mt. Hibok-Hibok. Camiguin I would say is a vacation treat to all the visitors as it has the attractions of nature, waters, history and culture. A very good reason to make a road trip very worthwhile and relaxing since tourist spots are short trips away from each other.

SOMETHING FOR THE HOLIDAYS (BLOG JOCKING 2102)

Hey y'all wazzup?! Holidays are coming and random get-togethers will be sprouting anywhere and everywhere. Music is probably the life of every party, so I personally compiled my own favorite club songs for the year to cater the hype to a crowd using the selected youtube remixes which are usually not availabe in most of the downloading sites... so, run the buffers, hit the pause buttons for the queuing songs and let's party! FIFTH LINE ON COURSE

This was last year's promotional ad for Mc Connell Dowell's MRT Station and Tunnels project in Bukit Timah, Singapore where I took several seconds to fame...lol. It felt like seeing a relative or a close acquaintance appearing on TV. 'Starshock' is the best word to describe it. I'm happy I'm part of this, it's been almost 3 years!
